TLT Solicitors has announced an increase in turnover of 14 per cent on last year
The 33-partner Bristol firm, formed from the merger of Lawrence Tucketts and Trumps two years ago, has also increased its staffing levels by 20 per cent to more than 300 and has its sights set on more lateral hires. Managing partner David Pester, who formally took over the role in May, believes the majority of the rise is due to increased instructions from existing clients. "It's evidence of the fact that, since the merger, we've become a lager practice with additional resources and additional specialisms to offer clients," he said. The firm now cites 11 clients in the FTSE 100, including Alfred McAlpine, Avon Rubber and Hanson. Pester said the firm is targeting key sectors for further growth, namely banking and financial services, where it was one of seven firms recently appointed to the national corporate recovery panel of Barclays Bank.
