`The biggest growth came in the finance and projects, private equity and IP-rich sectors.`Average profits per equity partner increased by 19 per cent to £477,000 with partners at the top of equity reaching £637,000. Partners' earnings rose on average by 25 per cent.`Managing partner Declan Tarpey said profits had increased by 21-22 per cent a year for the past five years.`"Focusing on the IP-rich sectors, the private equity market and finance and projects has been a winning strategy with each of these up by between 35 and 40 per cent," he said.`He was happy with the firm's strategy because of its flexibility. The firm's international strategy and Tarpey's successor are now on the agenda.
