Tinlaw eases Lincoln's Inn library strife

THE HONOURABLE Society of Lincoln's Inn Library has provided the information on a new library management and document retrieval system designed for law libraries.

The Tinlaw system is based on the library and information management system Tinlib and allows for rapid searching of Acts of Parliament and statutory instruments including tracking dates, amendments and implementation of European legislation.

Lincoln's Inn Library says it has found the system extremely useful and is keen to introduce it to other law libraries. Gray's Inn Library is already using it.

Lincoln's Inn librarian Guy Holborn says: "There has been a lot of interest in the data. There are alternatives on the market but we feel that the type and quality of our system is unmatched."
