  • I would like to know if going to university is compulsory in order to become a barrister, or would there be any other option on how to become a lawyer without going to university.

  • The vast majority of barristers did go to university. We do know one or two who didn't - but they had a long and successful previous career in another industry behind them, and so were granted a Certificate of Academic Standing by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
