Three firms land Thai Refinery advice tasks

Norton Rose, Shearman & Sterling and White & Case secured mandates on the Rayong Refinery Public Company's (RRC) $720m (£390.47m) float on the Thai stock exchange. RRC is the country's third-largest oil-refining facility and was formerly a fully owned subsidiary of PTT Public Company, Thailand's largest oil and gas conglomerate. The listing is the third largest in Thai history. The offering comprised about 1.4 billion shares. RRC was advised on both Thai and US law by White & Case, led by Bangkok capital markets partner Peangpanor Boonklum. The firm also advised in the Thai Oil Public Company IPO in 2004. Norton Rose, led by Bangkok corporate finance partner Suparerk Auychai, advised underwriters Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Phatra Securities and Finansa Securities on Thai law. Shearman & Sterling advised Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley on US law.
