After two years of turnover sitting static at £13.9m revenues grew by 3.6 per cent at South East firm Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2011–12. Total turnover hit £14.4m, according to provisional figures (the firm’s year-end is June).
Thomson Snell’s fee-earner count rose above 100 to 102 from the previous year’s 97. The firm now has 36 partners after hiring Cripps Harries Hall family partner Kirstie Law in October 2011. Overall, the number of lawyers dipped to 69, down two from 2010–11.
More than a third (13) of the firm’s partners are female, while the firm says 69 per cent of all staff are women.
Thomson Snell continues to focus on commercial work, with a number of contentious practice areas such as asbestos claims and compensation work for members of the military.
