South-East firm Thomas Eggar Church Adams has announced a sound set of financial figures after a year of investing heavily in its new London premises and expanding its asset management business Thesis.
Gross revenue rose by 12 per cent, from £17m to £19.1m. Average profits per partner climbed from £132,000 to £164,000, with partners at the top of equity earning £190,000 and at the bottom earning £90,000. Managing partner John Stapleton said that all departments had outstripped last year's billings by 10 per cent. Thesis, which took over three other asset management businesses during the year, showed the most growth. Litigation also performed well, handling cases including acting for Boris Becker in a paternity dispute with a Russian waitress. Thomas Eggar relocated its London office in July 2000. Stapleton said: "We've invested a lot of time and energy in our London office to get it positioned correctly."
