More bad news for Clifford Chance and A&O from the early findings of website rollonfriday's law firm survey. Clifford Chance has been criticised for its "dreadful sandwiches" and for the "shocking bad breath" of some of its partners. Rollonfriday also reports that at least one trainee was forced against her will to join the Christmas choir. A&O comes in for criticism because its bar, apparently (and outrageously), closes too early. Macfarlanes and Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), meanwhile, both fare pretty well. Macfarlanes is praised for the pay and the hours, although its computer monitors are too small, while BLP partners are all nice and tell their trainees not to worry even when they have "cocked up". However, Tarlo Lyons wins top billing for innovation - it has a video games room for staff.
