Manchester looks set to command increasing attention over 2007 after the city emerged as the surprise winning bidder for the UK's first super-casino licence.
This North West Special Report analyses what helped influence the Casino Advisory Panel (CAP) in identifying Manchester as the successful bidder over rivals such as Blackpool.
