Nick Armstrong was born in Durham in 1970. He is a trainee solicitor at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield and also chair of the Trainee Solicitors' Group.

What was your first job?

Child actor. I was Drew Barrymore's stunt double on E.T.



What was your first ever salary as a lawyer?

£15,900.



What would you have done if you hadn't become a lawyer?

Become an international rock 'n' roll star.

Asking Mark Stephens which newspaper he worked for.
