Daniel Izza was born in Bolton in 1967. He is a partner in the insolvency unit at Manchester firm Pannone & Partners.

What was your first job?

Disc Jockey on a radio station in Sardinia (Radio Sigma).



What was you first ever salary as a lawyer?

u17,500 as a trainee solicitor in London.



What would you have done if you hadn't been a lawyer?

A politician.



What was your most satisfying professional moment?

Becoming a partner at Pannones.



What was your most embarrassing professional moment?

Having breakfast at a client's house and facing his wife after bringing him home in a less than sober state the night before.



What do you least like about being a lawyer?

Two things: being asked whether I would be able to defend someone I believed could be guilty (yawn), and being asked for informal advice by acquaintances.



And the best thing about being a lawyer?

Putting things right and being paid for it.



What annoys you most about clients?

Nothing. They are all wonderful and always right!



Who do you most admire, and why?

Lord Denning - he taught me a valuable lesson in humility.



Which famous person or historical figure would be your ideal client, and why?

Dom Perignon. I would insist that client meetings would take place at his office and ensure I was free for the rest of the day.



What is your most annoying habit?

Shouting: "Come on Whites" at the top of my voice at the start of every Bolton Wanderers match. The people who sit in front of me always jump in shock.



What's your biggest fear?

Repeating my most embarrassing professional moment.



How do you relax?

Taking "the waters" in Dublin every few months, and foreign travel.



What is your most precious possession?

My Alfa Romeo and my Bolton Wanderers season ticket.



Where would you most like to be right now?

On a beach at Porto Conte Bay in Sardinia.



In 10 years' time, where do you see yourself?

Landing my private jet on to my airstrip at Porto Conte bay in Sardinia.
