Anything and everything to do with science.

Petrol pump attendant (before self-service).

£900 per annum.

What would you have done if you hadn't been a lawyer?

Journalist.

What was your most satisfying professional moment?

My first "Not Guilty" (after many attempts).

What was your most embarrassing professional moment?

Mixing up two clients (one for a will and the other for a divorce) who had the same name. I asked the one who came in for the will if her husband had ever beaten her up.

What do you least like about being a lawyer?

A punter approaching you in the pub to get advice about his double glazing.

And the best thing about being a lawyer?

Free conveyancing.

What annoys you most about clients?

Nothing (in case any are reading this).

Who do you most admire, and why?

Bob Dylan, because of his ability to articulate simple truths.

Which famous person or historical figure would be your ideal client, and why?

Stalin - The longest murder case in history.

What is your most annoying habit?

Attending a dinner party for chartered accountants.

Golf/tennis.
