Reply Link Peter 4 September 2014 at 00:24 A very interesting move by both Roberts and Conlin. These two have a lot to offer working together. Both have good solid oil and gas experience in-house and in practice and both have built experienced and reputable teams in their previous firms. The article doesn’t mention a team joining with Conlin but if his team joins as well then this already compelling union will be a force to be reckoned with. GCs of E & P companies will do well to get this team onside. Reply Link Anonymous 4 September 2014 at 00:34 I haven’t heard much about Andrews Kurth but Roberts is well known. Conlin is low key but effective and a strong practitioner well known in E & P circles. Don’t really understand the drivers for the move but NR has had a few departures from its energy group recently: Poe Leggette in the US, Weero Koster in The Netherlands and now Conlin in London. There does seem to be a move towards boutique offerings in the energy space with Partasides doing the same in the international arbitration sector. All very interesting.
