Ten partners made up after Gianni’s 2007 exodus

Gianni Origoni Grippo & Partners has promoted 10 new partners this year as the firm regroups following a 16-partner split late last year.

The 10 promotions take the total number of partners at the firm to 47.

This year’s round of promotions was bigger than last year’s, when seven partners were made up, as the firm recovers from the partner defection as well as a dispute over strategy.

Gianni’s Rome headquarters is home to six of the new partners, with three in Milan and one in Bologna.

The promotions covered a wide spread of practice areas: three of the new partners were in corporate; employment and litigation gained two apiece; while the capital markets, finance and real estate practices all received one partner promotion.

Tomaso Cenci, managing partner at Gianni, said: “Most of the new partners have matured their professional careers working for our firm with our philosophy of privileging the internal development and growth of our professionals.”
