Team of labour lawyers quits Cuatrecasas for KPMG
Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira labour partner Antonio Bartolomé has joined KPMG’s Madrid office.
Bartolomé’s hire is part of a wider KMPG strategy to reinforce its labour department, a spokesperson from KPMG confirmed. He joined Cuatrecasas as a partner in 2003.
Associate Beatriz Ruiz left the firm with Bartolomé and has joined KMPG as a senior associate. Last week three other Cuatrecasas associates all joined KPMG, with Eduardo Martinez and Paloma Martínez Villa both joining the labour department as senior associates and Mario Resino Sastre joining as an associate. The latest hires bring KPMG’s labour offering to 37 lawyers, including five partners.
In March this year Cuatrecasas revealed its plans to ditch its salaried partner rank and bring all of its partners into the equity (26 March 2011).
Earlier this year Cuatrecasas announced that it had seen a minimal increase in turnover for the 2011 financial year, with revenue rising by just under €1m (7 February 2012).
