Taylor Wessing’s Singapore ally RHT Law has joined global law firm association Interlex Group as its exclusive Singapore member.
This is the latest step in RHT Law’s drive for internationalisation and comes a month after it entered a strategic alliance with Taylor Wessing (31 August 2011).
Interlex is an association of law firms around the world. It currently consists of 45 firms across 145 cities in 58 countries, including Taylor Wessing. The membership will allow RHT Law to collaborate with other member firms, particularly in regions where both firms lack a presence such as Africa, the Americas and Australia.
RHT Law was founded in May 2011 by a group of ex-KhattarWong lawyers, including seven equity partners and 17 salaried partners. The firm is now headed by senior partners Rajah Menon and Hee Theng Fong and managing partner Tan Chong Huat, who all previously served as members of KhattarWong’s senior management.
In recent months, a number of Singapore firms have started expanding their pan-Asia capabilities (26 September 2011).
