Taylor Wessing has hired a team of four lawyers for its resurgent Berlin office.
The team members, who will all become partners, join from German rival Graf von Westphalen. They include corporate specialist Roman Bärwaldt and real estate partner Patrick Brock.
Both Bärwaldt and Brock originally worked at Clifford Chance together with another member of the team, tax lawyer Thomas Wisniewski. The fourth lawyer is M&A specialist Burkhard Frisch.
The hires follow the announcement of the hire of corporate partner Marc-Oliver Kurth from Hoffmann Liebs Fritsch & Partner, who joins in June. The hires signal a reinforcement of the firm's corporate, real estate and tax teams following the exit of a six-partner team for US firm K&L Gates last December.
