Taylor Wessing picks up FFW trademark partner

Taylor Wessing has bolstered its trademarks, copyright and media team with the hire of trademark specialist France Delord as partner.

Delord will join Taylor Wessing’s London office in September 2011 from Field Fisher Waterhouse, where she was a partner in the trademark and brand protection group.

A dual-qualified French avocat and English solicitor and qualified European trademark attorney, Delord headed up the Norton Rose Paris IP team for nine years before moving to London in 2003 to join Field Fisher Waterhouse, where she was made partner in 2008.

Delord has wide experience advising a number of high-profile international companies in relation to the protection and exploitation of their IP rights, with a particular emphasis on trade marks and designs.

Niri Shan, head of Taylor Wessing’s trademarks, copyright and media group in London, commented: “We see international brand management for major brand owners as a key part of our market leading IP service.

“France’s contentious and non-contentious IP expertise and international outlook adds even further depth to our London team of 18 fee earners focused on brands management. It also fits very well with our wider brands teams in Germany, Belgium, Poland, Dubai and, in particular, with the hire, earlier this year, of Dominique Mallo in our Paris office.”
