Taylor Wessing makes first post-merger hire

Taylor Wessing has made its first hire in Germany since its merger two months ago. Peter Hellich will join the firm's Düsseldorf office next month from Clifford Chance Pünder. Hellich, a corporate partner with a focus in the technology sector, had been at the magic circle firm since 1997. At the same time, Munich Wessing partner Oliver Habel is leaving the firm to join Munich-based Böck-Oppler-Hering, formerly part of Berlin-Munich firm De Witt Oppler, which announced its split in July. The Berlin part of the firm is currently in merger talks with PwC Veltins.
