Taylor Wessing has expanded its Continental network with hires in Paris and Germany.
The firm has recruited partner Paul-Albert Iweins from Paris boutique Inbona Iweins Charpentier-Oltramare. Iweins, a former head of the Paris Bar Council, will provide the firm with its first litigation capability. He will join as local head of commercial arbitration and litigation. The 45-lawyer Paris office, launched last November until now has been focused on TMT.
The firm has also hired former Osborne Clarke partner Jan Pohle, who will relocate from Cologne to join the seven-partner Düsseldorf office. Pohle is an IT and e-commerce partner with connections in the computer game and telephone network operator industries.
Meanwhile, Taylor Wessing is to send its first secondee to Dubai alliance partner Key & Dixon. Property partner Peter Shaw will go to the Middle Eastern construction boutique for six months.
