Taylor Wessing has made two senior-level hires as part of an extensive reshaping of its board.
The firm turned to Linklaters to recruit Caroline Rawes as HR director, and has also hired Clare Singleton from Deloitte as COO. Rawes had been at the magic circle firm since 1997, latterly as HR head for London, while Singleton was chief of staff at the accountancy firm.
The Taylor Wessing HR director and COO roles were previously both handled by former employment partner Jonathan Croucher, who has since left to become a vicar.
The splitting of the functions follows an extensive lateral hiring programme and an investment in diversity through the establishment of steering and action groups.
The two hires follow other board appointments of an international nature.
Last year the firm recruited Jean-Michel Beeching as international head of business development and Charlotte Beckett as financial director.
UK managing partner Tim Eyles commented: “All four of these hires are at a senior level and bring with them a wealth of international experience. They’re a serious statement about our investment in people and business development, and represent the realisation of our wish to have an internationally experienced board to help implement the firm’s growth strategy.”
