Taylor Wessing bulks up hotel team with Edwin Coe hire

Taylor Wessing has hired Edwin Coe’s hotels and hospitality head Ronald Graham as it aims to strengthen its hotels group.

Graham, who joined Edwin Coe from Jones Day in 2004, transfers to the City rival on 24 October.

He specialises in M&A and commercial contracts, with a focus on work for hotel and leisure asset owners and investors.

He also acts for high-net-worth family clients in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar.

Taylor Wessing hotels head Richard Bursby said: “We took a strategic decision to grow the global capabilities and strength of the hotels group. Ronnie’s experience and connections, in particular his Middle East clients and work, fit the bill perfectly.”

The firm’s hotels clients include Ability Developments, which it advised on its acquisition of the Hilton Hotel Liverpool from Grosvenor, as well as hotel chain Malmaison and Deutsche Postbank.
