Taylor Wessing has beefed up its data protection practice with the hire of Vinod Bange as a partner from Speechly Bircham.
Bange joins partners Graham Hann, Christopher Jeffery and Glyn Morgan and data protection analyst Sally Annereau in the team.
Bange was previously head of data privacy at Eversheds’ London office, where he was a senior associate. He joined Speechlys as part of a double hire for the firm three years ago (13 January 2009).
Taylor Wessing hired trademark and brand protection partner France Delord in the City last year (7 September 2011).
Corporate and technology partner Paul Webb, meanwhile, left the firm to join Goodman Derrick (7 November 2011).
The firm launched a second London office in ‘Tech City’ in Islington towards the end of last year as part of a technology push.
IT, telecoms and competition head Morgan said: “[Bange’s] arrival will not only strengthen our current team but will help us to address the increasing volumes of work in this area.”
