Tatchell speech ushers in BLP's LGB network

Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) formally launched its lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) network last week with a talk on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) legal equality given by human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell.
Tatchell told an audience of 100 lawyers, clients and recruiters: “Despite formal legal equality in many areas, at least a quarter of all LGBT people in Britain have experienced homophobic abuse, threats, blackmail, harassment, bullying, discrimination or violence. We need knowledgeable, passionate lawyers to defend the victims and fight their corner.”
