Word has obviously got round the Docklands community that Clifford Chance is on its way. With the first strip club already open for business, Tulkinghorn hears that another one is, err, coming. Rumour has it that Tabla, a small Indian restaurant in West India Quay, is the latest to apply for a strip licence. But on further investigation Tulkinghorn has discovered that Clifford Chance lawyers may not be able to have their curry and eat it too. Apparently, it is the owner of the building, rather than the management of the restaurant, that has applied for the licence. Tulkinghorn suggests that anyone wishing to sample the cuisine at Tabla had better get there soon, because if Clifford Chance has anything to do with it, naan bread will shortly be replaced by buns, so to speak.
