The left wing barrister John Hendy QC is turning out to be far more than just an armchair and court-bound campaigner for international justice.

However, now he has become far more active. Yesterday, the head of Old Square Chambers began his 109km sponsored cycle ride through the foothills of Table Mountain around Cape Town on behalf of the Free Representation Unit in London and South Africa’s Legal Resources Centre.
