One of our in-house award winners, T-Mobile, has had an internal reshuffle of its legal team, merging the legal and regulatory departments into a single group.
The shake-up comes on the back of the new managing director's reshaping of the company's senior management team. General counsel James Blendis, who collected T-Mobile's award on stage at The Grosvenor House Hotel last week, has been made head of the new legal directorate and will report to managing director Jim Hyde. He also now has a role on T-Mobile's UK management committee.
It is a bonus for the department, which will be brought even more closely into the running of the business. The previous structure saw Blendis reporting in to finance director Johannes Schmidt-Shultes.
