Last week a large group of litigators from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert had a bit of a team-bonding lunch before the new court term kicked off. Once the well-lubricated lunch was over, a partner suggested further entertainment at that popular Frith Street hangout the Karaoke Box.
For those unfamiliar with the Karaoke Box’s concept, the idea is that groups hire out a cosy little room complete with karaoke equipment for an hour. So picture the scene: a bunch of top litigators fighting over the microphone for their chance to serenade their colleagues.
Tulkinghorn’s source reliably informs us that Elvis was particularly popular among the contentious crooners. So expect to see blue suede shoes trekking through the Royal Courts of Justice.
