Sullivan pounces for CC Paris star

The Paris office of Sullivan & Cromwell has scored a massive coup by recruiting Dominique Bompoint from Clifford Chance.

Bompoint is one of the most respected corporate lawyers in France. He joined Clifford Chance from Bredin Prat in 2001.

“We’re very excited about this. We think he’s the best of his generation,” Sullivan corporate partner David Morrison told The Lawyer.

This is not the first time that Sullivan has made a splash in Paris. The firm recruited Gerard Mazet from Jeantet & Associes in 2001 and this will reinforce the corporate team.

In addition to his corporate clients Bompoint has a close relationship with the French treasury. He recently advised the government on the restructuring of French engineering giant Alstom.
