New York-based firm Sullivan & Cromwell has appointed Daryl Libow as the new head of its Washington DC office.
Libow, a specialist in representing corporations involved in regulatory, criminal and congressional investigations, succeeds Robert Craft Jnr after 19 years in the role.
Libow’s client list includes acting for Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, National Australia Bank and Royal Bank of Canada.
He has also recently advised Riggs Bank and British Airways in US Justice Department investigations and most notably represented President Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton's legal defense fund.
Craft, a securities specialist, has been a partner in the Washington DC office since it opened in 1977 and has been managing partner of the office since 1988.
Sullivan has 40 lawyers in its Washington DC presence.
