Stuck in the old routine

Forget Friends Reunited; clients do a much better job at bringing old chums together. Tulkinghorn's heart was warmed to hear that Bridgepoint Capital has reunited Gibson Dunn & Crutcher's Nicholas Aleksander with his former trainee Charles Barter on the private equity house's investment into Virgin Active.
Just in case Aleksander thought he might have put his past behind him, having left Travers Smith more than a year ago, up pops a management team wanting his services. So Barter and Aleksander spend months together once again thrashing things out, just like the old days – though Tulkinghorn isn't quite sure who sits at whose feet these days.
