Congratulations to whisky-swilling Freshfields associate Don Stokes. The lucky finance group liquor lover is the winner of our Scotch Malt Whisky Society first (and only) prize. None of the deluge of entries we received managed to answer all six questions correctly, but Stokes managed an impressive five. All those who equalled the prize-winning score were placed carefully in Tulkinghorn’s very own bowler, with Stokes emerging victorious. Those that made the cut fell at the final hurdle, with the name of the celebrity whisky drinker. Clearly, not enough reading of Heat magazine is going on out there. Hopefully, Stokes will now regularly entertain his chums down at Greville Street, home of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, where he can raise a dram or two to the society and to those kind journalists at The Lawyer, who made it all possible. Should he ever feel the need to invite Tulkinghorn and one or two of his hacks down for a snifter, they would, of course, be only too happy to oblige.
