The Surrey firm has a historical strategy of attracting City talent such as Simmons & Simmons' former corporate head Ken Woffenden. Wilkinson will head the Stevens & Bolton IP team, which will initially combine lawyers from the litigation and commercial teams. In time the firm plans to build the leading IP practice in the South East outside London. Wilkinson is a solicitor-advocate.
