Reply Link Anonymous 17 June 2010 at 13:45 Well you can reach an immediate conclusion about someone who uses the expression “PC”. Usually a dinosaur who looks backwards and never forwards. The type of person who stops decent law firms evolving at the rate they could. The simple fact is that many large employers are becoming more aware of their responsibilities to the communities in which they operate. That includes large professional services businesses – one of which I have worked for and which realised it is a major business in a rather run-down part of London and therefore it would divert funding including educational programmes towards the local community. To do some good in this way may not be your idea of a business priority – but to call it PC rubbish is the same as criticising individuals who give money to charity. It serves only to reveal how mean spirited, unimaginative and myopic some people can be. As the financial crisis has shown, economics and society are inextricably linked.
