Stephenson Harwood has bolstered its banking and asset finance capabilities with the hire of Christopher St John Smith from CMS Cameron McKenna.
Smith, a specialist in the transport and energy sectors, joins as a partner in the London banking and asset finance practice. He was previously a partner in Camerons' asset finance team.
Smith's hire is the fourth partner appointment to the group this year, bolstering the team to 14 partners in London. Other recent additions include Guy Liddle from Lovells and Stuart Tyler from Lawrence Graham, as well as the internal promotion of Lucy French.
Stephenson Harwood managing partner Sunil Gadhia said the hire followed the firm's continued strategy to reinforce the banking and asset finance team's strength across a comprehensive range of assets.
Over the last three years the group has increased its fee income by more than 140 per cent, pushing gross revenue to £10.9m in London for the last financial year.
