Slaughters is regarded as the bank’s main global adviser, handling all its biggest deals and projects.
London-based head of legal James Ellington asked firms to pitch for places on the panel at the end of 2010, with the tender process closing in January.
Last year the bank reviewed its UK panel, a process that is also carried out every two years. As with the global panel, the UK roster remained largely unchanged, with Simmons & Simmons, which already featured on the bank’s Hong Kong regional panel, the only new addition (29 April 2010).
