Stanbrook & Hooper's Chinese practice has formed an alliance with Chinese firm East & Associates
The alliance will be called Stanbrook East & Associates and will be headquartered in Beijing with a second office in Shanghai. The deal was brokered by Stanbrook & Hooper partner Lei Wang, who will transfer to Beijing to become a partner in the new firm. The firm will have 14 partners and 70 lawyers providing a full range of Chinese legal services. Stanbrook & Hooper is a Brussels-based EC specialist and its Chinese practice advises Chinese companies on EC law. East & Associates has traditionally advised international and local firms on investment, startup and business in China.
