Squire Sanders bulks up in Frankfurt with couple of Bryan Cave lawyers

Squire Sanders & Dempsey is expanding its Frankfurt office with the hire of two lawyers from Bryan Cave.

Iliana Haleen, an IP counsel, and Philip Haleen, a regulatory of counsel, join Squire Sanders from Bryan Cave in Hamburg. The appointments follow last week’s news that Bryan Cave is opening its own Frankfurt office (2 November 2011).

Iliana Haleen currently heads Bryan Cave’s Hamburg IP practice and will join Squire Sanders as a partner.

She joined Bryan Cave with her husband Philip in 2009 from Faegre & Benson. Philip Haleen founded Faegre’s Frankfurt office in 1991, managing it until his departure in 2003.

Squire Sanders previously raided Faegre’s Frankfurt office for partners Horst Daniel and Karl Walter and counsel Louis Wakatsuki in 2009.
