Spruson and Cheong in IP merger

`Patent and trademark lawyers Spruson & Ferguson Pte, the Singapore arm of Australian firm Spruson & Ferguson, has merged with local IP specialist Ella Cheong & G Mirandah.`The firm will be known as Ella Cheong Mirandah & Sprusons and will be chaired by Ella Cheong, who retired as a partner of Hong Kong firm Wilkinson & Grist to take up the post. It is understood that all staff from both firms will move to the new set-up.`Managing principal of Spruson Ferguson, David Griffith, said that he was only interested in merging with Ella Cheong & G Mirandah and has plans for further growth in Singapore. He added: “The firm presents a very strong presence with very qualified staff.”
