It's all been kicking off in Warsaw of late. First of all Baker & McKenzie's former local managing partner Tomasz Ujejski was leaving to join Squire Sanders & Dempsey. Then he wasn't. Then he really was (see story). Oh, and he took a load of colleagues with him.
At the same time Squire Sanders' former Warsaw managing partner Krzysztof Wiater and energy partner Pawel Grzejszczak were in cahoots with DLA Piper, defecting to set up a Warsaw office for the firm.
Today the plot has thickened, with CMS Cameron McKenna partner Michal Zieniewski also making the move to DLA Piper with the intention of boosting the office to 15-20 lawyers by the end of this year (see story).
