This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Tulkinghorn considers himself to be one of the most environmentally friendly people he knows, on account of him not owning anything electrical, or moving much beyond his drawing room.
But news has reached Tulkinghorn of an even greener legal figure. Susan Hazledine, the graduate recruitment partner at Allen & Overy, avoids all those nasty emissions on her commute by canoeing to the firm’s new East London offices.
She told Tulkinghorn’s scribe that she used to walk to work along Regent’s Canal to work out a new commuter route to the offices before realising that she could just canoe there.
But she declines to give details of where she starts from, or where she parks her canoe, because it has been stolen three times already. Tulkinghorn thinks the culprit should be easy to spot.
