RoF came up with the story”. Reply Link Gideon Osborne 22 March 2013 at 15:15 To be fair, this looks like it makes more commercial sense than some other mergers we have seen in the middle-market. If I were a wealth manager I would be seriously interested in this combination as it is probably a big move in the private client world. Reply Link Transformational Trev 22 March 2013 at 15:26 RollonFriday seem to come up with alot of legal breaking stories first. Beats ‘star’ partner A leave Firm A in crisis to join Firm B which describes move as ‘transformational’ blah blah blah. Reply Link Cheapsider 22 March 2013 at 15:51 Any word from Farrers? Reply Link Withering Speech 22 March 2013 at 16:38 Agreed that private client is big bucks and international business. You have to wonder whether the MC firms regret ditching this and whether they’re likely to re-enter the market with some trophy hires. Is that what’s meant by ‘new organisations entering the market’ I wonder? Reply Link Dayglo Dave 22 March 2013 at 17:35 Of the many recent merger announcements/rumours this one makes particularly good sense. Both are very sound players. Best of luck. Reply Link anonymous 25 March 2013 at 08:03 Quote PEP dropping from £384,000 to £300,000 (18 July 2012). Unquote ROF doesn’t mention this – how much of a one off is it and what caused it at SB ?
