Several Speechly Bircham partners are facing redundancy as part of the firm’s two-month redundancy consultation.
The firm kicked off a redundancy consultation at the end of last November, talking to up to eight lawyers for two months.
Speechly refused to comment on how many partners are involved in the talks, but confirmed that the number is lower than five.
Managing ;partner Michael Lingen said: “We’re offering ;outplacement services and we know people in the recruitment industry. We’re very sorry to see them go, but the market conditions have made it unavoidable. We felt it was right to review people at all levels, not just the junior staff.”
Support staff are unlikely to be affected by the talks.
