Holding company Coolabi has bought the rights to children’s television character Bagpuss.
Speechly Bircham lawyer Nicholas Tall advised Coolabi on its conditional agreement to acquire Licensing by Design (LBD), subject to shareholder approval.
LBD represents a number of IP assets including Bagpuss, The Clangers and Ivor the Engine. Coolabi is listed on AIM and controls the IP rights to brands including Purple Ronnie and Fungus the Bogeyman. Halliwells solicitors Jonathan Brown and Jennifer Blow advised LBD.
