Speechly Bircham has lost both of its partners in its private equity team but has already countered with the hire of a senior associate and an internal promotion. Private equity partners Kieran O’Connor and Matthew Sillett, who joined the firm late in 2002 from Osborne Clarke, are leaving the firm to join US firm Brown Rudnick. Andrew Clarke will join Speechlys as a partner on 8 August. Senior associate Dee Sian, who joined Speechlys in 2003, has already been made up to partner effective 1 June, effectively replacing the two lost partners.
