Spain's Broseta installs government lawyer as litigation head
Spanish firm Broseta Abogados has hired a state lawyer to head its insolvency and litigation department.
Santiago Hurtado joins Broseta as a partner, after serving as technical secretary general of the Department of Justice since 2009.
He replacesAntonia Magdaleno, who left the firm about three months ago.
Managing partner Manuel Broseta said: “Santiago Hurtado is an excellent and respected professional who has participated in major projects, forging an excellent reputation among judges, academics and lawyers, and represents a first class addition to our office.”
Hurtado previously served as chief counsel for the state in the prime minister’s office, assuming responsibility for the legal advice of the deputy prime minister and the ministry of the presidency.
