This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Eversheds has revealed a trainee retention rate of 88 per cent for its autumn 2014 qualifying trainees, with 45 of 51 trainees remaining with the firm in newly-qualified (NQ) roles.
Of the new NQs, 20 will join the company commercial group, 19 will head for litigation, another seven will work in the human resources practice and four will join real estate. The remaining one will be on client secondment.
The top 20 firm announced a retention rate of 100 per cent for the third spring running earlier in the year, while its autumn rates have consistently been around the 85 per cent mark in recent years.
HR director Moira Slape said: “As a firm, we focus heavily on the training and development of our lawyers to ensure they have the well-rounded commercial acumen required in the modern legal world. We wish all our qualifying trainees every success in their careers at the firm.”
Eversheds is the 39th firm to report retention results this autumn. Overall, 83 per cent of trainees have stayed on at the firm that trained them.
