Sodexo finalises panel with places for nine firms

Food and facilities management company Sodexo has completed a three-month panel review, with nine firms winning places on the new roster.

Sector-specific appointments have been made across the commercial, competition, construction, corporate, IP, licensing, litigation, regulatory, PFI and property areas.

The shake-up was the initiative of general counsel and company secretary Gareth John (pictured), who joined from Transport for London in January this year (15 January 2009).

John commented: “We’ve consolidated the number of firms we work with to achieve competitive charging rates and improve efficiency.

“The panel structure will help us grow our relationships with firms so that they really understand our business for defined categories of work.  We look forward to working with our appointed firms to deliver value to the organisation.”

The appointments are for three-year terms with the possibility of an annual review.

The new advisors are:

Ashurst (PFI)

Beachcroft (general litigation, corporate/commercial)

Eversheds (employment, property, IP, corporate/commercial, regulatory)

Davenport Lyons (licensing)

Devonshires (PFI, litigation)

DLA Piper (PFI, corporate)

Lindsays (licensing, Scotland)

Shadbolts (PFI and construction)

SJ Berwin (competition law)
