SNR Denton has added to its banking and finance team in London with a Linklaters partner as the firm continues to expand its practice globally.
Edward Hickman, a partner in Linklaters’ structured finance team for the past six years, has today joined SNR Denton’s banking and finance team. The practice group is led by partner Paul Holland, who replaced Serge Sergiou in the role in November 2011. Sergiou remains a partner at the firm.
Hickman is a structured finance lawyer who advises banks and corporates on structured funding solutions and deleveraging and has also acted for private equity and distressed debt purchasers on these sales.
In a statement Brandon Ransley, SNR Denton’s UK managing partner, said: “Our banking and financial institutions practice is one of the areas ear-marked for growth in our strategy review alongside dispute resolution, TMT, energy, infrastruture and project finance.
“Edward’s appointment is further evidence of our intention to move swiftly and decisively to implement the findings of that review and our ability to attract partners of the highest calibre.”
