MORE than 150 law firms have signed up to join the new national Solicitors' Trust network for small practices aimed at localised legal markets.
And about 10,000 potential clients have asked for a copy of the booklet which outlines the services provided by the network's member firms.
The response comes after the launch of a massive £10,000-per week marketing campaign highlighted by a joint promotion with The Daily Mail.
Steve Royal, the trust's sales and marketing director, said the scheme would offer local firms, which join by invitation, the benefit of a large marketing campaign.
Royal said: "Now the thing has started, people are beginning to take an interest. I think there are people who read about it who don't have a solicitor, who hopefully will be needing the services of one in the foreseeable future.
"If we got 4 or 5 per cent of people wanting to see their solicitor in the next couple of months then I will be delighted."
The booklet covers trusts and tax planning, personal injury and crime, and comes with a card offering a free half-hour consultation with a member firm.
